Jennifer grew up interacting with people from all over the world where understanding intentions, open hearts, and languages came through an unspoken exchange of smiles, treats, gentle gestures, and small yet potent gifts. While adapting to each journey, she learned along the way that offerings or gestures that delighted the senses were the most cherished gifts. …an offering of apple tea to sip on while sitting beside strangers, being able to touch tightly woven textiles so to distinguish quality, shopkeepers playfully draping jewelry on you like clothing that radiated with golden weight, curious instruments brought closely to your ear for you to study, floral flavored dessert bites offered for you to decipher, perfectly ripe plums placed into your palms as you walked the souqs, and fine perfumes and incenses brought to your nose while smiling eyes watched. These were the moments for a young child who didn’t speak the languages to learn the unspoken communication of gift giving. These sensational moments and the impact of honest gestures made their mark.
